The last days of the Second World War in Berlin Walking Tour
It is the night of May 1st to 2nd… The Red Army, under the leadership of Stalin, is advancing ever closer from the east and finally penetrates far into the area of the German capital. The soldiers of the Soviet Union (USSR) fought their way to the “Führerbunker” and finally hoisted the Soviet flag on one of the towers of the largely destroyed Reichstag.
How did the government dealt with the population under the pressure of the approaching Red Army in the last days of World War II?
How did the Red Army managed to break the last German defensive front and end the terrible war once and for all?
The tour lasts approximately 3 hours in total. We will visit the following places together:
Reichstag building
Wilhelmstrasse – Führerbunker
Anhalter train station ruins
